Database Usage takes site offline

Hi

Table faqsearches is being bombarded and my host took the site offline due to excessive usage.

I can see in faqsearches that a search term "unable log on" has been spammed multiple times every second. Screenshot attached.

Also table faqsessions is huge, with 5 million rows.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Hi,

sorry for that. In version 4.1 we'll delete search terms after a defined time frame. I would also add a logic to avoid storing the same search term again and again to avoid this.

To fix it for now, just delete all search terms you don't like.
